The person in this position develops detailed architectures for various complex and cross-sector projects. The incumbent designs and implements technology solutions that respond to the changing needs and technology targets of the organization. The successful candidate represents the unit when meeting with various decision-making bodies and supervises, coordinates and coaches professionals within the unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Help clients identify and analyze needs, set priorities, and select and evaluate technology solutions
  • Conduct studies and execute the positioning, feasibility and detailed design phases. Recommend technology
  • Develop and apply conceptual and logical models and carry out design, implementation and integration strategies
  • Ensure cross-sector coordination with decision-making bodies. Provide support and follow up
  • Coordinate the activities needed to ensure the quality, performance, reliability, availability and continuous improvement of technology solutions and systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of six year of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in project management. Must have expert knowledge of project management principles
  • Desktop support experience required (must have already provided support in a previous career)
  • Experience in the cross-sector architecture of technology solutions (environments/tools/operating software and components)

Specific knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization concepts
  • Knowledge of Citrix, VMware and Windows servers
  • Basic knowledge of security and telecom
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 (an asset)
  • Knowledge of packaging concepts (an asset)
  • Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager management tools and usage concepts (SCCM 2012 – Current Branch) (an asset)
  • Intermediate-advanced proficiency in English
  • Proficiency in communicating in oral French at an advanced level
