As Functional Analyst, Squads, you design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade business applications, management systems and APIs to meet the organization's needs. For this reason, you are part of an Agile Development Squad in the sector that is dedicated to our business members.

You play a leadership role with stakeholders and teams involved in the development of business relationships and on files and projects relating to development and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative, such as IT upgrades, incident prevention, quality assurance and patch maintenance. Your responsibilities require extensive knowledge of your line of work.

You make recommendations on the development and delivery of files and projects with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. These require analysis and a comprehensive, detailed understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

You serve as a specialized advisor and subject matter expert in your field, and act as a contact and coach for decision makers.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead specialized development projects, initiatives and activities that significantly impact the entire organization
  • Advise your clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives
  • Develop and update policies, standards, models, IT solutions and programs to support your unit's strategic projects and initiatives
  • Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
  • Represent your unit before decision-making bodies
  • Represent Desjardins's position when making agreements with external partners and organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of six year of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in an Agile development environment
  • Experience in a squad environment (an asset)

Specific knowledge

  • Familiarity with Confluence and Jira tools
  • Knowledge of architecture (an asset)
