Génome Québec is seeking applications for a Full Stack Developer-Analyst position in its IT department at the Génome Québec Technology Centre.

Responsibilities

You will work on designing, developing and optimizing the various components of the project. More specifically, you will:

  • Design, develop, modify and roll out frontend and backend functions for our Nanuq software
  • Participate in Scrum and Kanban (Agile Method) with other members of the team
  • Ensure the integration and quality of deliverables (integration testing)
  • Roll out applications in different Nanuq environments and at various facilities
  • Implement an optimization process for our high-intensity data

Qualifications

  • College or university degree in computer science/computer engineering
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a 3-tier web application development environment, preferably with Java/Spring/Hibernate
  • Experience in object-oriented design and programming (Java)
  • Experience with web application architectures and open source frameworks (Spring, Wicket, web services, Tomcat, Maven, Struts, etc.)
  • Experience with relational databases and persistence tools (Hibernate, SQL, Ibatis, MySql)
  • Bilingual. Please note that the working language at Génome Québec is French
