The Cloud and Continuous Delivery Department is currently looking for an advisor to join its team.

Do you have experience in the implementation and provisioning of cloud services as code (IaC)? Do you have experience with an infrastructure programming language, such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell and/or Bash, for example?

In addition, have you worked in environments with a "CI/CD pipeline" and GIT-type version management, and do you have a good understanding of the IaaS services offered? Do you have general knowledge of Windows/Linux platform management and of telecommunications, and knowledge of the service offering?

If so, this position is for you!

You will serve as an advisor and coach for a dedicated clientele and for partners who are completing important projects related to incident prevention, patches, changes to the IT infrastructure, rollouts and post-rollout tasks. You will propose solutions for improving or optimizing standards, policies and programs. The nature of the initiatives and projects will require extensive expertise in your field.

You will develop recommendations, solutions and action plans in line with the organization's orientations and objectives. You will help solve complex problems. This will require close analysis and an in-depth understanding of the line of business. Coordination is critical, and you will interact with various stakeholders who work in complementary fields. Highly developed interpersonal skills will therefore be essential.

You will serve as a resource person in your field for your unit, clients and partners.

More specifically, you will play an advisory role in cloud service operations/support for a range of client groups and stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities

  • Play an advisory role in cloud service operations for a range of client groups and stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, implement and monitor strategies, action plans, programs and solutions relating to cloud service operations so as to ensure consistency and balance between business needs and adherence to requirements and best practices.
  • Play a monitoring role in order to understand and anticipate trends in your field of expertise and make appropriate recommendations with a view to developing best practices for the organization.
  • Lead projects and mandates specific to your area of expertise and coordinate a team of professionals when required.
  • Develop performance indicators and tracking methods. Identify problems and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned.
  • Represent your unit when meeting with various committees and internal and external stakeholders regarding the mandates entrusted to you.
  • Help develop communication strategies and plans for the projects and mandates for which you are responsible.
  • Be available on a rotational basis to ensure IT support (24/7)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a Linux operator (a major asset)
