Solutions Architect

As a Solutions Architect you will report to the Senior Director - Information Technology and will be responsible to translate Business needs into optimized solutions, define and implement architecture design standards, factoring in customer satisfaction, cybersecurity, regulatory constraints.

Your experience, your knowledge of new technologies, your autonomy, your ability to solve problems and your communication and training skills will make you the ideal candidate.

Your day-to-day:

• Evaluate and document current architectural system evaluation, solutions designs and recommand optimization strategy and road map
• Collaborate with Business stakeholders to understand business needs and industry specific regulatory obligations
• Present business case for various integrated solution options and recommendation to Senior IT Director and Business stakeholders, based on in depth analysis of each solution and value proposition
• Convert optimization strategy and road map in actionable integration plan, oversee execution and progress.  
• Be the Subject Matter Expert on current and upcoming products & solutions, market trends and integration options in line with regulatory and industry specificities.
• Act as IT product owner and manage integrated solutions evolution lifecycle with IT and the Business Owner to ensure technical integrity and consistency
• Responsible for documenting solution design, integration mechanism, infrastructure, application, data and service architecture
• Provide technical expertise and partner with the Business Owners during solution selection process

Your skills, our requirements!

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field;
• Additional IT certification, an asset;
• Minimum of 8 years experience as Solution Architect or very similar role;     
• Worked in the energy industry, an asset;        
• Project Management experience an asset  (Agile);
• Experience with common IT architectural frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT, etc..);         
• Strong IT knowledge of software lifecycle, design and various Cloud solutions;                    
• Proficient in written and spoken French and English, Spanish an asset. 

Additional considerations:

• The position is available at the company's head office in Longueuil, near the Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke metro station.
• Possibility of working from home (hybrid formula)
