If you are interested in positioning yourself to help introduce the different new SAP technologies and functionalities in a mature organization running SAP for their day to day worldwide operations in the past 20 years, then this position will interest you.
By joining us you will be part of a team that focuses on delivering IT solutions for P&WC's SAP related projects and also developing the roadmap and tools of the different SAP technologies used by P&WC.
Based in the south-shore of Montreal, in Longueuil, and acting as an SAP Technical Architect you will be the SME (subject matter expert) for the different development, integration and reporting capabilities of the SAP platform.
You will be part of a team tasked to define, promote and support the overall SAP landscape while leveraging industry best practices.
You will be working with the SAP Competency Center team and the Enterprise Architecture team to define and implement the SAP landscapes roadmap.
You will also be working closely with other Solution Architects defining and recommending how to use SAP technology, development tools, and ensure proposed solutions are fully integrated within the PWC application architecture.
You will act as a key point of contact between internal teams and external suppliers performing Basis, development, functional and other technical activities on projects.
You will lead and coordinate project activities related to the overall SAP landscape.
You will need to keep on upgrading your skill sets to be able to stay up to date with existing and new SAP technologies by doing some training and also hands on configuration, development and testing activities for some of the projects.
What your day to day will look like
Guide and assist the different project teams in the definition and implementation of their business solutions.
Manage or execute specific project deliverables and scope to ensure project schedules & timelines are respected.
Articulate proposed solutions in business terms and demonstrate solution effectiveness in meeting business needs.
Ensure systems integration within SAP and across suite of core application platforms.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into solution specifications.
Breakdown the business requirements into comprehensive deliverables and estimate the work effort required to complete them.
Contribute to the creation of a SOW (statement of work) for vendor managed projects.
Define and maintain the SAP Landscape roadmap.
Plans, manages and performs the activities related to detail analysis and design of IT solutions.
Identify and implement continuous improvements that are enabled by SAP functionality and related bolt-on applications promoting best practices in order to drive business benefits.
Understand the high level functionality of the different SAP modules and their integration points in the SAP Landscape which include systems such as ECC, GTS, SCM, SRM, SUS, BW, PI, Portal, NWDI & SOLMAN.
Lead or participate to specific SAP project with an emphasis on SAP integration and Portal projects.
Work in a multi-vendor environment and oversee vendor activities on projects.
The tools you need to be successful
Bachelor degree with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a senior developer role with some knowledge of the SAP basis roles;
Experience in the technical implementation of SAP Projects with ABAP as well as SAP PI/PO (Process Orchestration) and SAP Portal platforms;
Experience with Netweaver ABAP and JAVA stack;
Experience with the ABAP development techniques;
Experience with the SAP WEB development techniques;
Experience with the SAP Fiori & SAPUI5 development techniques;
Experience with the SAP HANA technology;
Basic Project Management skill set;
Proficiency in business process design and SAP ECC configuration;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office toolset;
Knowledge of the new SAP development techniques with S/4Hana & BW/4Hana with the new ABAP extension concepts, native application on Hana, restful services, micro services and mobile development (an asset);
Knowledge of the new SAP development tools such as the SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Web IDE, SAP HANA cockpit, Hana as a platform and Hana CDS views (an asset);
Knowledge of the DevOps concepts with the SAP platform using micro service development with cloud foundry and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins & modern testing tools (an asset);
Knowledge of SAP security concepts for ECC, BW, Portal, PI & Hana (an asset);
SAP certification is (an asset);
Familiarity with Export Compliance regulations (an asset).
