Reporting to the Director General, and working closely with the Academic Dean with regards to Educational technology, the Director of Information Systems and Technology is responsible for the management (college-wide guardianship and innovation, planning, organization, direction, control and evaluation) of all computing technology, information systems and related hardware and software, as well as all other resources related to Computer Services.

In addition to the physical resources, the Director of Information Systems and Technology will oversee a team consisting of a Computer Services Coordinator and five (5) support staff employees. The Director of Information Systems and Technology works closely with Academic Services and all other members of the senior management team.

The Director of Information Systems and Technology exercises his or her functions more specifically in the following areas:

  • The development and implementation of the Information Technology Master Plan (PDRI) for the College.
  • Development and implementation of systems, software adaptation, development of new applications, evaluation of reliability, performance, security and cost-effectiveness of systems.
  • Operation and maintenance of systems and servers.
  • Telecommunications (intranet networks, Internet, VPN, security, performance).
  • User support: information, troubleshooting, training and assessment of the development needs of college staff in information systems.
  • Maintenance of computers, peripheral devices, operating systems and related software.
  • Technology watch: research, evaluation and testing of new devices and new software. network
