DEPARTMENT:  IT Services

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To enable IT Services to contribute to the effectiveness of academic units and administrative departments by providing administrator support for the University's Peoplesoft environment and related application servers.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree Computer Science or 3-year College Computer Systems Diploma, or equivalent experience as deemed by the Department
  • 3 years' experience in installation, configuration, upgrade, and troubleshooting of Peoplesoft environments including: PeopleTools, Web Logic, Tuxedo, App Designer, Integration Broker, Data Mover, and App Packager
  • Experience in:
    • Basic Network Configuration
    • Basic Server Administration (Linux, Windows Server)
    • Maintenance of technical client support documentation
    • Installation of Oracle RDBMS
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, tact and diplomacy
    • Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools and processes
  • Good teamwork, organization, multitasking, troubleshooting, customer service
  • Good written / oral communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to clients
  • ITIL Certification of equivalent knowledge of current IT best practices, technologies, standards and project management methodologies / software
  • General knowledge of applicable legislative, statutory and industry compliance requirements
