Service Desk Technician, Information Technology

Our technology company, in operation for over 15 years, is seeking a service desk technician to assist customers with technical issues remotely by phone, e-mail, and service request software, as well as onsite when required.  Our ideal candidate will work alongside our service desk technicians and system administrators to help deliver the high-quality, customer-focused service we are known for.


  • Respond and resolve tickets, calls, and e-mails in a prompt, competent, and professional manner
  • Escalate, as appropriate, to level 2 support, level 3 support or administration with relevant and accurate information
  • In a disciplined manner, follow up on all open tickets until resolution, and ensure proper ticket closing procedures
  • Work closely and effectively with your team members and administration
  • Assist in the general user management of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and the various tools and software used by the team
  • Assist or accompany Systems Administrators as they deploy datacenter infrastructure, virtualization systems, or external cloud systems
  • On an as-needed basis, visit clients within the GTA and surroundings for onsite support.


  • Must have a college diploma in information technology or an AEC
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work with an incident or service request software is required
  • Ability to listen and enter data simultaneously
  • Must be bilingual (English & French, written and spoken)
  • Strong in interpersonal, telephone, and e-mail skills
  • A team player that is customer experience focussed
  • Organized with good time management skills
  • Punctual & reliable
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of job related experience considered a plus
  • Must provide references upon request


  • Permanent Position
  • 37.5 hours/week
  • Competitive (based on experience & evaluation)
