We are currently hiring for a Senior Manager, Research to join our Enterprise Architecture (EA) division. The Senior Manager, Research manages a team creating and delivering member-driven, project-based, practical research and advisory that helps IT leaders in the EA space drive measurable results in their organizations. You will be responsible for ensuring that the deliverables you and your team create are of the highest quality caliber, and directly build measurable value for the member.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and creation of 12 structured research projects throughout the year. These research projects, called blueprints, are "Do It Yourself" guides on specific types of projects that outline a step-by-step process for completing the project. 
  • Manage and own the successful completion of the project, ensuring effective resourcing of team across project and other non-project related responsibilities.
  • Coach a team of consulting analysts on the research process, and support their development of craft skills, subject matter expertise, and client facilitation.
  • Utilize our Blueprints to assist members through the process of executing projects or process improvements either remotely (working through a series of structured calls) or on-site (working through a structured 5 day workshop).
  • Identify opportunities to provide value to clients through workshops and consulting engagements and support commercial teams to define the scope and project outcomes.
  • Contribute to a research agenda that meets the needs of members by developing a deep understanding of what Info-Tech members require to be successful as IT professionals.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience         
  • Certifications: TOGAF and/or COBIT 5 nice to have
  • Minimum four (4) years of professional enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, data architecture, IT strategy
  • Experience working in an strategy OR IT governance role with experience in designing and enforcing architectural standards and practices
  • Strong relationship building and management skills, ability to manage up and across
  • Understand business and technical capabilities, for current and future state
  • Understanding of new technologies and new demand and how they impact organizations (update continuous professional development competency)
  • Enterprise Architecture; demonstrated understanding of architectural principles, solutions architecture, data architecture, and the business goals/outcomes/purposes.
  • General technical knowledge, multi-domain understanding, understanding of business and IT capability

Additional Comments

  • Willingness and ability travel up to (25%) to deliver workshops and consulting engagements on-site at client locations
