Salary Range: $88,837 - $111,043 per year


The Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is responsible for regulating the alcohol, gaming and horse racing sectors and cannabis retail in Ontario in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest. 

Our Information Technology Branch is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to lead the implementation of new infrastructure and technologies as it relates to AGCO projects. The incumbent will design, plan and implement new products and services, create and/or maintain documentation which includes build books, operating and maintenance procedures, and monitor the capacity and performance of the AGCO compute environment. 

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Infrastructure Services, you will implement network infrastructure including all LAN/WAN equipment, server infrastructure (including software and services) and Storage in both an on-prem data centre and cloud environments. You will use your exceptionally strong problem solving skills to research, recommend, pilot and implement solutions.  You will be responsible for establishing test and recovery procedures; ensuring all systems and data are backed up. You will interact professionally with all levels of staff with your excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience working in a technical network capacity in Information Technology; the ability to meet tight deadlines, work on several projects at the same time; and work collaboratively with IT colleagues and business partners.

The successful candidate will have extensive and demonstrated working knowledge of the following:

•          3PAR & Nimble SAN technology

•          SharePoint Online

•          MS Office 365 

•          MS Hyper-V

•          Remote Access Services technology

•          MS System Center Configuration Manager Server

•          MS System Center Operations Manager

•          MS System Center Data Protection Manager

•          MS System Center Capacity Planner

•          MS SQL Server 2014/16/17/19

•          MS Rights Management Server

•          MS Active Directory Federated Services and Authentication Concepts (including Azure AD)

•          MS Intune

•          MS VStudio Team Foundation Server

•          Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) and Threat Management Gateway (TMG)

•          ePolicy Orchestrator

•          LAN/WAN Hardware/Virtual configuration (Switches, Routers, Load Balancers)
