Join our team

As a Project Coordinator, Field Technology, you will support Elections Ontario's deployment of technology equipment during Election events. Since this initiative underpins the digitization of Ontario's voting processes it requires a project coordinator able to support a large-scale deployment during a short period of time.

What you can expect in this role

Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Services, you will:

  • Act as a primary contact point with various vendors supporting the Election processes;
  • Maintain the project schedule using Microsoft Project;
  • Maintain project documentation and change controls;
  • Prepare program work team and steering committee documents and presentations;
  • Identify, escalate and help resolve issues, and
  • Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with vendor and contract management;
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of projects;
  • The application of project management methodologies, techniques and tools;
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office;
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating system, imaging tools, Wi-Fi and cellular modems;
  • Knowledge of organizational change management methods and skills;
  • Broad knowledge of government standards, strategies and methods; 
  • Experience planning large-scale field service deployments;
  • Understanding of procurement methods, practices and techniques;
  • Well-developed problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, consulting and relationship management skills;
  • Nice to have: knowledge of voting processes;
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills; and
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Compensation

Starting Salary $65,731
