Reporting to the Director, IT Project Management, the Manager, Information Technology Security is responsible for providing guidance and counsel to the CIO and the ITS Senior leadership team. The Manager, Information Technology Security will lead the team to achieve higher levels of security for information technology systems and resources in order to protect Humber's information assets. They will lead the information technology security planning processes to establish an inclusive and comprehensive information technology security program irrespective of delivery model (Cloud, on premise). They will establish annual and long-range information technology security and compliance goals, define information technology security strategies, metrics, reporting mechanisms and program services; and create maturity models and a roadmap for continual program improvements. They will stay abreast of information security issues, counter measures, threats and mitigation strategies, and regulatory changes affecting higher education, and educate the Humber community as necessary on a regular basis about these topics. They will track and measure the effectiveness of implemented security policy, practices and standards.
As the ideal candidate, you bring significant IT Security experience in a large, complex organization, coupled with a degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field. Your extensive experience in enterprise security architecture and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities have enabled your success thus far. You thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment where new, innovative initiatives are introduced on a regular basis. Energetic, results oriented, and customer focused describe you well.
