Children's Wish Foundation of Canada now has a 12-month contract opportunity for an IT Support Analyst in their National Office, located in Pickering, Ontario.

Working in collaboration with the National Director, IT this position is responsible for ensuring delivery of IT/IS desktop and Enterprise Application support to the National Office and Chapter Offices across Canada.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a Windows 7/10 and Mac OS desktop environment
  • Provides day-to-day desktop and applications services support nationally to all chapters across the Foundation.
  • Resolve applications services and platform issues (on-premise and cloud).
  • Administers users' account information for Active Directory, VoIP and mobile device services.
  • Maintains and monitors Anti-Virus/Spam updates for all desktop systems.
  • Deploys and maintains desktop and laptop hardware and software.
  • Tracks IT assets and ensures that inventory is current and up to date.
  • Develops training documents, creation of reports, and system maintenance and enhancement.
  • Works in compliance with the provisions of The Occupational Health & Safety Act in the applicable province of employment and its regulations and complies with the Foundation's Health & Safety Policy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in the Information Technology industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting users in a Microsoft Windows.
  •   Hands on experience with the following:
    • Active Directory
    • MS Windows 7/10 and Mac OS
    • MS Office 2010
    • VoIP telephony systems
  • Understanding of VPN technologies and concepts.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Exchange administration preferred
  • Understanding of VPN technology
  • MCP, MCDST, MCPD, ITIL certifications are preferred.
  • JavaScript/HTML/CSS/FTP and responsive development experience is required

 

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with occasional requirements to work outside of regular office hours
  • This position requires work outside or beyond traditional office hours and thus requires a flexible schedule year-round.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required to fulfil responsibilities.

Physical and Mental Effort

  • Works under pressure of tight deadlines, with high volume workload, and with multiple demands and changing priorities.
  • High degree of responsibility for technology systems.
