Nasittuq is currently bidding on the contract for the Operation & Maintenance of the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.

This job posting is being advertised in advance of award of a contract. Employment is contingent upon Nasittuq being awarded the contract.

Responsibilities:

The Chief Information Officer will be responsible for Nasittuq’s Information Management System and cybersecurity for the NWS.

  • Responsible for the management of NWS communications security (COMSEC) account.
  • Lead the Risk based Cyber Mission Assurance Processes.
  • Provide advice and/or recommendations to Senior Management on various issues and/or direction related to the information technology field and cyber security.
  • Attend strategy meetings to ensure proposed information technology and security strategies reflect established direction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Five (5) years experience in information technology and data management.
  • Five (5) years experience in information technology security, cyber security, and risk management for military operation systems.
  • Possess a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), or a Certified Information System Manager (CISM) designation or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading the completion of a Security Assessment & Accreditation of military operational systems to obtain Authority to Operate.
  • Experience leading a small information systems security team.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally.
  • Computer literate in MS applications, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens, be eligible and maintain Level (II) SECRET security clearance.
