The incumbent is responsible for 3rd level support for all UNIX/Linux & Windows servers, data centre infrastructure and systems monitoring/management infrastructure support. A key responsibility is managing projects to completion including determining and understanding requirements, documentation & planning, providing technical solutions, strategy for implementation, and deployment. This must be accomplished adhering to IT Services standards and procedures. A key initiative is to ensure that service levels are met with a focus on customer service. This will be accomplished through excellent communication, follow up with the customer and system stability and compliance with ITIL best practices.
Starting Rate: $42.38; Four Year Rate: $49.1
Hours: 40 hours per week (1) one hour lunch; Mon – Fri (8:30 am – 5:30 pm; one evening shift)
Campus Location: Hybrid with expected on site presence at the Durham College Oshawa Campus on a weekly basis.
