Both technically proficient and deadline-oriented, you welcome this opportunity to use your project management experience to ensure that systems are well maintained and can effectively support stakeholder needs across the Peel District School Board (PDSB).

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Systems and Solutions Delivery, and working both independently and collaboratively in a time-sensitive environment, you will develop, implement and manage the critical corporate systems by ensuring that they are well maintained and essential upgrades are implemented. A skilled communicator, you will also provide ongoing customer support, problem-solving, training and documentation, and liaison between Learning Technology Support Services (LTSS) and all stakeholders of the Board.

As Team Leader - Reporting and Business Intelligence, you will manage several projects by developing and supporting the School Success Planning/School Improvement Planning system, as well as ONSIS Reporting, Enterprise Systems Business Intelligence and Reporting, and other sub-systems. Your specific responsibilities will include meeting with stakeholders, resolving production problems, liaising with software vendors, overseeing system design, preparing program change specifications, implementing software changes, maintaining application and web services, and data integrity, as well as evaluating and recommending new technology. As can be expected of this leadership role, you will also provide guidance and supervision to your staff.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

With a degree or diploma in information technology, or a combination of experience and related educational qualifications (e.g., computer programming, systems analyst), you have a solid foundation for success as Team Leader - Reporting and Business Intelligence. The following experience, skills and knowledge will further support your accomplishments in this role:

  • Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Reporting Processes.
  • Good understanding of Employment Standards, Health and Safety, Ministry of Education policies and timelines.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence, Dashboarding and reporting, e.g.: Power BI, Cognos, Structured Query Language (SQL) and scripting.
  • Knowledge of the Education Act, education-related policies and school board operations to provide expertise on legislative compliance, policy application and yearly cycle demands on systems, design and implementation.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive work environment.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multitask in order to meet specific timelines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Oracle DBMS, Oracle Forms and Reports, Power BI, SQL, Microsoft .Net, Angular.
  • Student Information System, ONSIS Reporting, Crystal Reports.

Salary range: $83,359 - $104,197 per annum
