Position Description:

Reporting to the IT Leader, you will be part of the Cam Tran IT Team. You’ll be monitoring, maintaining, and improving the software and computer systems as well as the networks within the organization. You will be on the front-line, providing technical support to employees and ensuring that systems are running effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities / Duties:

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
• Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
• Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
• Maintain record of problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
• Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
• Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or enhancements.
• Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
• Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors, developers, or technicians for service.
• Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades, as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Skills / Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of Operations and Support procedures
• Good understanding of IT systems & environments
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Computer Information Systems/Network background
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills used to analyze, trouble-shoot, and implement appropriate solutions
• Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good English Language Written/Oral (Mandatory)
• Confidence in working autonomously or as member of a team
• Experience with Web based HTML technologies
• Experience with Database systems and programming languages (including integrations between such systems) such as SQL, Postgres, and Python
• Experience with Network Infrastructure in multi-OS client/server platforms; including disk imaging and Server Virtualization
• Understanding of IT Standards and Methodologies such as ITIL and Lean Six Sigma
• Experience with technology and software in a high-paced manufacturing environment
