Overview

The  Executive IT Advisor/ Senior Business Relationship Analyst works with the Director, Business Relationship Management, and all departments in the Information Technology department to ensure high levels of Executive client satisfaction and productivity with IT tools and systems. The position has the mandate to increase the value realized from IT assets, investments, and capabilities.  The Executive IT Advisor/ Senior Business Relationship Analyst is responsible for understanding the business, assisting in the prioritization of projects, ensuring that projects align with the technology that provides maximum return on investment, and directing IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy.The position is responsive in providing a range of services for Executive customers in a flexible, fast paced and, at times, urgent environment. The position also contributes to supporting the organization in configuring, installing and maintaining the multi-platform/environment hardware and software used on the network, workstations and servers.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • A degree in Business or Computer Science and 4+ years of desktop support experience, or a diploma in Computer science and 6+ years of desktop support experience, or equivalent experience preferably supporting high level executives

  • Excellent technical knowledge of laptops, desktops, printers, and all attached peripherals hardware and software

  • Excellent professional customer service and interpersonal skills 

  • Considerable troubleshooting, maintenance, & setup experience

  • Demonstrated ability to apply the strategic use of technology to support organizational core business processes and operations

  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analyses, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development

  • Must be very well versed in all Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook

  • Handheld break/fix, setup, and maintenance experience (Apple, iPhone, iPad, Surface, Android devices, Blackberry, etc.)

  • Ability to conduct research into PC issues and product knowledge as required

  • Sound business acumen to complement expert-level knowledge in emerging information technology practices

  • Demonstrated exceptional prioritization and organization skills to appropriately identify the importance and extent of service delivery requirements

  • Analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • ITIL certified

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Windows 7, 8 and/or 10 is an asset

  • Experience providing  support and training for core software( MS Windows, Windows 7 & 10, MS Office, and Enterprise Anti-Virus) and hardware support and training for desktop, laptop, printers, and tablets is preferred

  • International and private sector financial industry experience is desirable

  • Experience with Service Now is ideal
