Founded in 1917, the British Columbia Teachers' Federation (BCTF) is a union of professionals representing over 43,000 public school teachers in the province of BC. As an organization, we are dedicated to advancing learning conditions for students concurrently with advocating for BC's public school teachers and the teaching profession. We are also deeply committed to democratic decision-making and supporting the engagement of the teachers who make up our member base. About the Opportunity
The BCTF currently has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced IT Manager to join us on a full-time basis in Vancouver, BC.
Reporting to the Treasurer and CFO, as the new IT manager you will be responsible for the effective planning, organization, and operation of Information Technology (IT) services and support across the Federation. This role will see you overseeing IT project coordination, resource management, supervision of IT staff, as well as communications with the Executive Committee, Excluded Management Team, Managers, Supervisors, and end-users.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need to have 10 years of work experience in an IT management capacity which includes at least 5 years of experience supervising a department that is responsible for an organization's computer operations along with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering.

Your excellent interpersonal skills will combine with your technical expertise and aptitude for stakeholder management as you work to drive change and transformation within our organization and bring us towards IT excellence.
