Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Manager of Information Technology has overall responsibility for the management, performance, and operations of the City's technology infrastructure and is responsible for developing and maintaining a long-range technology strategic plan, supporting operational plans, application roadmaps, and appropriate performance measurement. The incumbent will provide technology expertise and guidance in support of, and in collaboration with, the City's operating departments, all of which are heavily dependent on technology. The Manager will lead a team of talented IT staff, and will work with other City agencies and partners. The incumbent will serve as a member of, and key advisor to, the City's IT Governance Group made up of senior staff from across the organization.

This is an exciting management opportunity for an information technology individual with strategic vision, and a passion for innovation and best practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in information technology leadership, with recent experience developing medium and long-range technology plans. At least five (5) years of managerial experience including three (3) years of direct supervisory experience are also required. Experience building and sustaining corporate cybersecurity policies and best practices is critical for this role. This position requires a post-secondary undergraduate degree in a Computer Science field or three years technical program equivalent. Technical designations with project management training are an asset. The ideal candidate must possess and maintain a valid British Columbia driver's license, as per City policy and can possess and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
