Essential Position Functions

  • Utilize Continuous Integration practices;
  • Design, document and implement various Engineering related projects and in-house application software applications as appropriate.
  • Integrate third party solutions into existing automation solutions;
  • Perform all levels of QA best practices (manual), primarily targeted towards our Iris application and surrounding micro services. 
  • Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
  • Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions

Education and Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited post-secondary institution (or equivalent).

Knowledge, Skills, and preferred Abilities

  • 5+ years' industry experience in QA or Software Engineering;
  • Knowledge/ Comfortability with using Python;
  • C/C++ or Java development experience is an asset;
  • Experience in object-oriented programming;
  • Knowledge of embedded systems an asset;
  • Investigative and problem-solving mentality/ approach;
  • Flexibility to take on different challenges and to work independently;
  • Experience with relational and non-relational DBs;
  • Familiarity with Selenium Web driver; 
  • Mentoring Experience;
  • Understanding and experience with Jenkins;
  • Understanding of Microservices Infrastructure;
  • Experience with Git/ SourceTree.
