Methanex is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Medicine Hat, Alberta on a full-time basis. 

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will proactively partner with site stakeholders to understand their business objectives, operating model, and processes. Through this business knowledge the Senior Business Systems Analyst identifies areas where efficiency and productivity could be improved using business process improvements and technology solutions. The Senior Business Sytems Analyst also has a global role in sharing business improvement processes and in global IT projects. This role would be part of the Medicine Hat IT/Technical team and is expected to support the site's IT requirements to ensure that the site can successfully deliver its objectives. 

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a university qualification in Information Technology, Science, Information Systems, or a similar field along with a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst as well as at least 2 years of platform or technology experience where you were driving solutions in an enterprise environment. You'll also have a proven track record for implementing complex, mid, to large-sized business projects using internal and external resources as well as experience with project management, business analysis, governance, testing, change management, incident management, and business continuity/disaster recovery. Previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset. 

As our ideal candidate for this role, you'll join us with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Your strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills will combine with your customer-focused mentality to ensure that you continuously meet the needs of internal and external customers. You will also need to have exceptional critical thinking, decision making, and troubleshooting skills, as well as a history of tailoring communications effectively for the target audience. You'll also have a demonstrated ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a manner that builds and maintains positive working relationships and enable you to effectively facilitate meetings and workshops when defining requirements. 

This role is well suited to someone who is extremely organized and detail-oriented. You'll also possess a superior ability to quickly identify and directly address issues as well as independently respond to highly complex matters in a professional manner with guidance required in only the most unique and complicated issues. With excellent time management and prioritization skills, you will have the ability to consistently meet identified goals and achieve results. Of course, you will also join Methanex with a flexible mindset and the ability to manage ambiguity while responding to many shifting responsibilities and the demands of various customers.
