As a Systems Administrator 2, you will be a vital member within the Operations Division in Information Technology (IT). You will provide direct technical support within the team and to clients across the corporation. Participation in 24x7 on-call support is required. Primary duties include:
Manage, maintain, build, and monitor Linux physical and Linux Virtual servers.
Manage, support, monitor, and maintain backup systems/processes for all servers.
Manage, support, and monitor SAN and NAS Storage systems.
Manage, maintain, and support VMware hosts and workloads.
Manage hardware break fix on Dell and HP servers.
Qualifications
A completed 2 year diploma in Computer Science or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR a degree in Computer Science or related with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing and deploying Redhat Linux solutions within a large data centre environment is required.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing and deploying Commvault and Legato backup systems within a large data centre environment is required.
A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent), with no more than 6 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending OR; a valid Graduated Driver's Licence (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending.
Strong research and analytical skills; an aptitude for problem-solving; the ability to relay highly technical information in an easily understandable way; and proven exemplary customer service and focus.

Compensation: Pay Grade 12 $42.06 - 56.23 per hour
Out-of-Schedule Rates: $52.25 - 63.49 per hour.
This position is presently paid at an Out-of-Schedule rate to reflect
current market conditions. Should market conditions change, the
salary may be reviewed and may revert to the base rate.
