Job Title: Senior Software Developer – Victim Notification System (VNS) Modernization Requisition ID: RQ11745 Client: Justice Technology Services (JTS) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer for a 186-day contract with Justice Technology Services to support the Victim Notification System (VNS) Modernization Project. This strategic digital transformation initiative replaces aging legacy technology with a secure, accessible vendor Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform integrated with the Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS). Key Responsibilities & Deliverables: Lead software development, system integration, and technical design for the VNS SaaS solution integrated with OTIS. Build secure self-service portal functionality enabling victims to register, manage preferences, and view notifications online. Implement multi-channel communication pipelines including automated email, SMS, and telephone notifications. Ensure system design adheres strictly to Ontario Public Sector (OPS) accessibility (AODA), privacy, and security requirements. Streamline backend workflows, reporting capabilities, and automated data synchronization with OTIS.
