Command Layer Systems

Command Layer Systems (CMD) is an independent product studio in Toronto. We embed with operators and teams to turn difficult, real-world workflows into useful software—from discovery and product strategy through design, development, launch, and iteration. We work in two complementary modes: • Build Products — product strategy, system design, software development, launch, and iteration. • Operate Systems — inbound systems, sales automation, revenue operations, analytics, and learning. • Embed With Teams — hands-on product leadership, product management, design, development, and operating cadence. Through CMD Lab, we turn strong recurring problems into focused software products. PlanPort, currently in active development, reviews building-permit materials against configured requirements and produces evidence-linked findings and next actions. We start with one concrete workflow, connect real data, ship working software, and learn directly from the people using it. Our focus is accountable delivery and systems that hold up in real operating environments.
