We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Data Specialist to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will bring strong hands on data engineering experience, including streaming technologies and real time or near real time data pipelines. Location: Atlantic Canada Employment type: Permanent Your future duties and responsibilities Your future duties and responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. Develop data processing, transformation, and integration workflows. Build real time and near real time streaming solutions. Work with large scale datasets using Google Cloud data services. Design and maintain data models and cloud based data solutions. Ensure data quality, governance, security, and operational reliability. Monitor and optimize pipeline and query performance. Collaborate with data architects, analysts, data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Required qualifications to be successful in this role Senior level hands on data engineering experience with Google Cloud Platform. Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions. Hands on experience with streaming technologies such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow / Apache Beam, Kafka / Confluent, or streaming into BigQuery. Experience with real time or near real time pipelines and event driven solutions. Experience with data transformation, integration, modelling, and large scale datasets. Strong understanding of data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization. Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem solving skills. CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 –$135,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
