About the Role As a Senior Software Developer at Botpress, you’ll be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that drive the future of conversational AI. As a senior member of the engineering team, you’ll own features end to end, from design to production, and help set the technical direction of our AI agent platform. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable applications, using your experience to solve complex problems while raising the bar on code quality and performance across the team. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of customer-impacting features Make architecture and technical decisions for scalable, reliable systems Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to define and implement new features Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to ensure best practices and continuous improvement Take ownership of troubleshooting and debugging complex production issues Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally in a fast-paced product environment Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like React A track record of designing and shipping complex systems at scale Deep understanding of software development principles, patterns, and methodologies Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience mentoring other engineers and leading technical projects Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders A passion for exploring new technologies and a desire to contribute to a rapidly evolving product An enthusiastic team player driven to achieve results and contribute to the overall success of Botpress About Botpress Botpress raised a $25 million Series B round in 2025.
