Deployment & DevOps Engineer

Role Overview BMI is looking for a hands-on Deployment & DevOps Engineer to support the deployment, integration, and operation of our wireless and software solutions. The ideal candidate has solid experience with Kubernetes, Linux, and CI/CD, strong troubleshooting skills, and can communicate effectively with customers and internal development teams. Telecom or wireless experience is a plus. Responsibilities Deploy and maintain software platforms in customer and internal environments. Work with Kubernetes/K3s, Docker, and Helm for application deployment and upgrades. Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions or similar tools. Troubleshoot deployment issues involving Linux, containers, networking, and applications. Support on-premise edge/server deployments. Work closely with software, networking, and hardware development teams. Coordinate with customers during installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting. Prepare clear deployment procedures and technical documentation. Automate repetitive deployment and operational tasks. Qualifications 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, deployment, system integration, or a similar role. Good hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes/K3s, Docker, and Helm. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. Good understanding of IP networking, including TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, routing, and firewalls. Experience with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Good verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working directly with customers. Nice to Have Experience in telecom industry Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar monitoring tools. Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools. Experience deploying software in on-premise or edge computing environments. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is practical, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership of deployments from installation through troubleshooting and customer acceptance.

The role involves deploying and maintaining software platforms in customer and internal environments while managing CI/CD pipelines. You will also troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate directly with customers during installation and integration processes.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in DevOps or system integration with strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux administration. A solid understanding of IP networking and scripting languages like Python or Bash is required, along with excellent communication skills.
