Job summary
Job Summary You’ll have visibility into and influence over all parts of the technology stack with a high degree of autonomy. You’ll contribute to planning, designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining significant portions of the software and system infrastructure that support our users. You’ll work closely with a committed team, contribute to the product roadmap and long-term vision, provide and receive feedback, and coach other developers. You’ll use modern tooling across the stack, including React, Styled Components, NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Express, PostgreSQL, AWS services such as RabbitMQ, Redis, and S3, GitHub Actions, Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress. Required Skills Good years of experience using JavaScript to build real-world applications, preferably public-facing. Experience building, monitoring, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and resilient software. Significant production JavaScript experience with strong understanding of development patterns and practices that impact productivity and software platform reliability. Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, React, CSS, and Postgres. Experience leading development teams, mentoring junior developers, and working with non-technical stakeholders. Experience writing automated tests, including unit and end-to-end tests, using JavaScript-based testing frameworks. Experience with Git, GitHub, pull requests, and modern software delivery techniques. Experience with DevOps best practices and setting up and configuring cloud computing infrastructure. Experience building production systems with an understanding of deployment, monitoring, and security best practices. Experience developing for Cloud Agnostic Architecture. Understanding of web/application security and data privacy. Strong communication, time management, and project management abilities. Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-focused, and outcome-driven approach. Passion for learning, mentoring, coaching, and continuously improving technology, practices, and processes. Nice to Have Experience working with various development workflows and methodologies, with an understanding of their benefits and drawbacks. Post-secondary degree or diploma in a computer or software design related program. Experience working with AWS.
