About the job We are seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, BC, and help build innovative generative AI capabilities across Planview products. In this role, you will collaborate with senior engineers, Product teams, Data Science teams, and other development groups to design, implement, test, and deploy features for an AI-powered platform that helps users identify management concerns and recommend actionable solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy features for a generative AI platform Build AI-driven capabilities that enhance Planview products and customer experiences Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to deliver AI-based use cases Develop scalable services using modern software engineering practices and technologies Integrate and leverage organizational data sources, including OKRs, product portfolios, and engineering work tickets Work closely with stakeholders across multiple development teams to deliver high-impact solutions Support the development and deployment of agentic AI platform capabilities Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to a DevOps culture where teams build, deploy, and support their solutions Apply modern software design principles and agile development methodologies throughout the development lifecycle Required Skills 4+ years of professional software development experience 3+ years of experience developing applications with Java and Spring framework Strong understanding of Java design patterns, best practices, and software engineering principles. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), React, Large Language Models (LLMs), such as Claude Sonnet, and DevOps environment Experience with agentic conversational AI using LangGraph or LangChain Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Preferred Skills Hands-on experience applying AI technologies to real-world software development challenges. Experience building AI-powered products or features Knowledge of data strategy and data-driven product development Experience supporting agentic AI platforms or generative AI applications Familiarity with integrating AI services into enterprise software products Experience collaborating across Product, Data Science, and Engineering organizations Ideal Candidate Built a reusable AI platform consumed by multiple SaaS products Developed agentic conversational AI using LangGraph or LangChain Implemented RAG architecture using vector search and enterprise knowledge sources Built orchestration services enabling LLM tool calling and workflow automation Developed Java Spring Boot microservices supporting AI applications Integrated AI capabilities into existing enterprise products Designed context management and retrieval pipelines for LLM applications Built evaluation frameworks and guardrails for production AI systems

Requirements
