WE’RE HIRING: GCP DATA ENGINEER Location: Toronto, Canada (Remote) Looking for Telecom Domain Only We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, SQL, and preferably dbt, to join our team on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines, developing data transformation models, and working with Telecom (Telco) CES and Network Data, including Calls, Chats, and Network datasets. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using GCP, primarily BigQuery. Develop and manage dbt models for data transformation, testing, and documentation. Write complex, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Implement and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance data warehousing solutions. Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders. Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot performance and data quality issues. Use Python scripts for workflow automation and data engineering tasks. Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Data Engineering or a similar role. Strong SQL skills, including complex query development and optimization. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices. Basic to intermediate Python skills for scripting and automation. Familiarity with Git and version control systems. Knowledge of dbt for data modeling and transformation is a plus. Experience with Telecom CES, Calls, Chats, and Network Data is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
