Position Overview We're seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our GIS Network Engineering team. In this role, you will design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade network infrastructure spanning multiple global data centers and cloud environments, supporting the Applied Systems platforms that serve thousands of insurance agencies across North America and the UK. You will be a key contributor to our cloud and datacenter networking initiatives — responsible for hybrid cloud connectivity, infrastructure-as-code networking using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD, and network automation using Ansible. You will also support the day-to-day administration of our F5 BIG-IP load balancing platform, site-to-site VPN estate, and network monitoring stack. This role participates in an on-call rotation and is expected to respond to critical network incidents outside of normal business hours. The ideal candidate brings deep data center networking expertise combined with a growing cloud networking skill set, strong automation instincts, and a commitment to documentation and operational excellence. What You’ll Do Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across GCP, on-premises, and hybrid cloud environments Manage cloud networking technologies including VPCs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, and IP address management Administer and troubleshoot BGP routing, site-to-site VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity Support and maintain F5 BIG-IP load balancing platforms and related application delivery services Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and network automation solutions using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible Monitor network performance, availability, and security using enterprise observability and monitoring tools Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure network solutions. Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for critical network incidents and outage. We’re looking for someone who: Your experience should include some or all of the following: Experience with Azure and/or AWS networking Experience with Cloudflare and modern observability platforms Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, F5, or Terraform Associate Experience implementing network automation and NetDevOps practices Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience supporting complex, multi-site environments Experience with GCP networking, including VPCs, Cloud Router, HA VPN, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity Strong knowledge of routing and networking protocols, including BGP and IPSec VPN Experience administering F5 BIG-IP LTM in a production environment Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation tools Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills Location Candidate will need to reside in North America, working arrangement will be remote. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities. Depending on the role, team members may also be eligible to participate in additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
