As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll transform an established desktop application into a modern web-based solution that supports how underwriting teams submit and manage contracts. You’ll join an experienced, multidisciplinary delivery team and work closely with developers, QA professionals, business analysts and stakeholders. The role offers a balanced mix of React front-end and .NET back-end development, with the autonomy to own assignments and deliver meaningful solutions. You’ll gain exposure to React, .NET and Azure technologies in a collaborative environment that values independent thinking, practical problem-solving and strong technical delivery. Your Responsibilities You’ll redesign and rebuild desktop application functionality as a modern, responsive web solution. Develop front-end features using React and modern JavaScript, alongside back-end services, APIs and business logic using .NET and C#. Translate business and functional requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions. Contribute across analysis, design, coding, unit and system testing, deployment and warranty support. Integrate application capabilities with existing systems, services and data repositories. Collaborate across development, infrastructure, security and business teams to manage technical dependencies. Independently manage priorities and deliver production-ready code against established project roadmaps. Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience, including strong recent hands-on React development. Strong hands-on experience with .NET, C# and Web API development across front-end and back-end layers. Experience with Microsoft Azure, relational databases, data repositories, Git and continuous testing. Practical Agile experience and familiarity with modern software delivery practices. Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical decision-making and stakeholder communication skills. A university degree and ability to work onsite in Halifax 3 days per week. Experience with legacy application modernization, Azure DevOps, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture or insurance and financial services environments is considered an asset.
