Job summary

Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer Location: Mississauga, ON (3x onsite a week) Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: CAD$40/HR INC We are seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in both backend and frontend development, with strong knowledge of Java technologies, modern JavaScript frameworks, databases, and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise grade web applications. Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot. Build responsive and user friendly interfaces using Angular, React, or similar frameworks. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high quality solutions. Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Integrate third party services and APIs. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues. Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies. Create and maintain technical documentation. Required Skills Backend Technologies Java 8/11/17+ Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security Microservices Architecture RESTful Web Services Hibernate/JPA Maven/Gradle Frontend Technologies Angular (preferred) or React JavaScript, TypeScript HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap Responsive Web Design Database Technologies SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred) DevOps & Cloud Git, GitHub, Bitbucket Jenkins/Azure DevOps Docker, Kubernetes AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Other Skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills Agile/Scrum development experience Understanding of CI/CD pipelines Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience with cloud native application development. Knowledge of message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Relevant certifications in Java, Azure, or AWS are a plus. Nice to Have Experience with AI/ML integrations. Knowledge of SonarQube, Nexus, and monitoring tools. Exposure to event driven architecture and distributed systems. Expected Deliverables High quality, scalable, and secure applications. Well documented APIs and technical designs. Timely delivery of features and bug fixes. Continuous performance and security improvements
