APPLICATIONS MANAGER

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership and supervision to the Applications team for development and delivery of solutions and related tasks at the Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC). This position manages projects that are related to Applications or provides application solutions for business units and the departments. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages IT applications by developing a roadmap and budgets for future enhancements, growth and maintenance

  • Manages the CRC IT Applications team by providing technical and management leadership in delivering and supporting IT solutions

  • Develops business cases, project charters, project plans, and obtains required approvals from stakeholders and Refinery Leadership Team/Senior Leadership Team

  • Responsible for hiring/de-hiring, orientation, training and performance management of the Applications team

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area; coupled with 8-10 years of IT experience with 3-5 years of management or project management experience – minimum of 3 years leading a technical team. A PMP and application related certifications are an asset.
