Technical Support Specialist

Cluster Systems - Saint-Laurent, QC

We are looking to hire competent and certified technicians at our office located in Ville St-Laurent.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Remote, phone or on-site troubleshooting of Windows machines

  • Configuration and troubleshooting on receipt printers (serial/network)

  • Repair and/or part replacement in All-In-One computers

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of TCP/IP networks

  • Client training on Cluster software

  • Point of Sale installation on-premises for new and existing clients

  • Acting as a pivot point between management and clients

  • Full technical support for clients

  • Be available to take night calls

Required Skills

  • CANDIDATE MUST BE PERFECTLY BILINGUAL (ENGLISH & FRENCH)

  • Computer networking

  • Windows XP, 7, 8 advanced configuration

  • MCP, A + certification an asset

  • DEC ou AEC in network management, computer science, or equivalent

Personal Skills

  • Bilingualism a MUST

  • Excellent listening and understanding in interpersonal relations

  • Proficiency in customer support

  • Ability to work on-site and take emergency tech calls simultaneously

  • Use of common sense in all situations

  • Ability to take calls outsite of work hours, on nights and weekends

  • Fast learning of new skills

  • Good troubleshooting method

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in IT, computer science, etc.

  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's licence and a vehicle

  • Be open to periodic overtime

  • Punctuality and reliability

  • Positive attitude

  • Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision
