INTERMEDIATE  PROGRAMMER:

Kamik, a manufacturing company located in Lachine, Quebec, specializes in the manufacture of top quality footwear, ranking it among the most successful companies in its field. Kamik is looking for an Intermediate Programmer to join our IT team. This candidate will work closely with the IT Director and IT team to develop and support the company's growing IT needs and requirements. This diverse role will allow the person the opportunity to tap into his/her creativity in all areas of IT. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop ERP software enhancements for all departments (Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Service, Marketing, etc);
  • Program in a structured manner, respecting established standards; 
  • Participate in systems and functional testing, while complying with quality control standards; 
  • Provide user-support regarding applications (information requests, production support, maintaining data integrity);

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • College or University in Information Technology; 
  • 3-5 years experience as a programmer;
  • 3-5 years of solid business experience (manufacturing an asset)
  • Knowledge of Java, RPG (ILE), PHP, Node.js, Qlikview (Business Intelligence);
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills;
  • Team oriented, dynamic and motivated;  
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Must have the capacity and ability to multi-task multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter able to prioritize and organize numerous demands with a quick turnaround using strong time management and above average interpersonal skills.

LANGUAGES REQUIRED: must be bilingual - French and English (predominance in French an asset)

NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 40

STATUS OF EMPLOYMENT: permanent, full-time, day
