We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Technician - Core and Routing, to work with Network Operations in University Information Technology Department for this exciting opportunity. Are you a Technical professional with experience in Network Provisioning?  Do you possess at least 5 years' of recent and relevant experience?  Do you possess experience in Network Management and Information Technology security? Do you possess knowledge of various networking tools and programming languages?  If so, keep reading!

In this role, you will provide advanced technical support services for the University's data network systems. Serving as an expert technical resource and consultant the incumbent takes a lead role in the planning, implementation, operation and support of the University core network infrastructure and related systems. The incumbent provides guidance on the process and execution of network infrastructure routing and switching implementations.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

A relevant University Degree, e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology; or equivalent, e.g., relevant College Diploma and one year of recent related experience in addition to the minimum years of experience. We are seeking individuals who possess a CCNP Routing and Switching Certification as well as a strong preference for specialization in data communications. Other industry-related or security certification would be considered an asset. In addition to our educational requirement, the successful incumbent will have 5-7 years recent relevant experience with: networking protocols and standards; routing; security including access controls and firewalls; network management automation including open source tools.
