We are currently recruiting for a Manager Information Security to work in the University Information Technology department for this exciting opportunity.  Are you a professional within the field of Information Technology?  Do you possess at least 5 years' experience in a senior information security role, within a large organization? Do you possess knowledge of business acumen, information technology domain knowledge and expertise in the area of information security? In this role, you will:

Assume responsibility for the operational management and implementation of the University's Information Security Program. Based on strategic direction from the Information Security Officer (ISO), the Manager develops and implements programs and initiatives that help assure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of University information systems and data. The Manager takes a proactive and process-oriented approach to overseeing day-to-day information security activities. In addition, the Manager serves as an authoritative advisor and consultant for management within the University on information security and assurance policies, guidelines, procedures and standards, and as such must be capable of effectively communicating and working with both IT and non-IT peers on a technical and non-technical level.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

A relevant 4-year University degree (master's degree preferred) in a technology related discipline (e.g. computer science, information systems management, software engineering), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in information security. We are seeking individuals who have Experience in computer and information security assessment, risk management, incident response, disaster recovery planning, security reviews and audits, all within a complex and sophisticated technological infrastructure is required. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess one or more of the following professional certifications: CISSP, SANS/GIAC; CISA; CISM.
