Working within bcIMC's Information Technology department, the Senior Business Analyst (Technical) researches business requirements across bcIMC and manages the design and implementation of IT solutions often involving complex packaged software. The Senior Business Analyst (Technical) consults with staff at all levels and in all departments and works closely with other IT professionals and external suppliers to deliver results. The Senior Business Analyst (Technical) reports to the Director, IT Applications but often participates in or leads projects.
The Information Technology department is responsible for developing technology solutions that contribute to the achievement of bcIMC's mission and long-term goals. The department manages bcIMC's business applications and information technology infrastructure, providing support to a large group of financial professionals. The IT department is also responsible for authoring IT-related policy and conducting disaster recovery planning to minimize risk to bcIMC's delivery of investment services.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 5 years experience as an IT professional
- Training and experience in business area analysis, process modelling, data modelling and project management
- Current or planned enrolment in the Canadian Securities Course
- Experience with complex financial systems
May possess equivalent combination of education and experience.
